Microsoft Flight Simulator X api.dll crash possible fix

 


Hello!

So, Earlier this month. I keep running into a annoying Fatal crash in FSX Steam Edition that shows no warning or Anything.

After Checking the crash logs at the event viewer, I found out it was caused by a api.dll or an API of SIMCONNECT for FSX to be precise. Well, Just like anyone out there. I looked on the internet for a Solution and found dozens of Threads regarding about the API with no solutions.

The problem about the API is that it isn't exactly an add-on on the Steam Edition, It comes with the Sim. And I believe that Support for FSX has been long gone since the release of MSFS 2020.

So, I spent 2 weeks trying to fix it with no success. Until I decided to get another version of Simconnect. I downloaded this simconnect from FsPassengers website. So far i didn't run into another crash caused by the api.dll.

Can't promise you that this will fix your api.dll issue but mine's running so good.
